The highlight of the day for almost every dog is a walk. Come rain or shine no able-bodied, self respecting dog can resist the chance of an outing!

All dogs are walked individually - unless from the same household - so they receive undivided attention and can proceed at their own pace. 

We cater for dogs that require regular daily walks (Monday - Friday), as well as specific days or occasional walks. Every effort is made to schedule walks as close to a requested time of day as possible depending on demand. Weekend walks by negotiation.

Dog Boarding

As much as we hate to be parted from our dogs, there are times when it is simply unavoidable. Like a foreign holiday, business trip away or maybe even a spell in hospital. While boarding kennels suit some dogs, just as many find them a stressful and unsettling experience. That's when home boarding comes to the rescue, providing a tranquil environment and all of the company and comforts your dog could wish for.

From a one-night stop-over to a week or more (the longest time a dog has stayed is one month), your dog will live as part of the family with a routine as closely followed as possible to the one they are used to at home. 

You provide their food, bedding and favourite toys so there's always something familiar and reassuring for them that reminds them of home.

Up-to-date vaccination certificates are a pre-requisite of bookings being accepted, and a deposit will be taken to secure bookings of any duration. A meet and greet is required with your dog(s) to see where your pet will be stayiing prior to making a first-time booking. This will also enable you and your dog(s) to meet Izzie (pictured) my own Labador who acts as 'mine host' to all canine guests.

If you are concerned that your dog may be fretful or not settle well into a strange environment I would recommend a trial overnight stay. I also ask that you advise me of any possible behavoural traits, medical conditions or special requirements at the time of booking. I will also need an emergency telephone contact number and the details of your vet to be held on file.

It is also sometimes possible to provide a live-in service providing overnight companionship for dogs that would not easily adjust to home boarding or kennels. All enquiries welcome

Please note that the rate you will be quoted when making an enquiry or booking are per 24 hour period.. Drop-off and pick-up times are flexible (within reason) so as to best suit your travel arrangements or schedule.

Whether you're planning two weeks (or more) in the sun or just a long weekend away a little closer to home, then the question of who's going to look after your pets is bound to crop up at some point.

If you don't like the idea of putting your cat into a cattery and are reluctant to impose on your good-natured neighbours - again, then Sit 'n' Stay could be just the thing.

Call us now about cat care home visits while you're away. Your cat(s) get to stay in the comfort of their familiar home surroundings with regular visits for feeding, change of litter tray (if required) and, of course, plenty of cuddles!

The frequency and number of visits is tailored to your requirements, and I can also use each visit to ensure there are no obvious signs of your absence such as mail protruding from the letterbox, as well as drawing curtains and turning on a light. This is all a part of the home visiting sevice at no additional cost. All small domestic pets catered for too. Please ask for details.
